From the haldi and sangeet to the wedding and after-party, here’s the complete story of how we turned Radhika & Swaraj’s wedding into a magical experience.

Day 1: Haldi Ceremony – Yellow, Joyful & Emotional

We kicked off the wedding festivities with a lively haldi ceremony at the bride’s family residence. The home was full of laughter, music, and turmeric-stained hugs.

Theme: Bright yellow floral with a hint of green

Decor: Marigold garlands, banana leaves, brass pots, a floral swing (jhoola) for the bride, and traditional floor rangolis

Bride's Look: Floral jewellery, yellow lehenga, minimal makeup glow

Highlights:

Female relatives performed playful haldi rituals while singing wedding folk songs

Dhol beats and a surprise dance by the bride’s friends

Guests were treated with a variety of Odia snacks like bara ghuguni, chakuli pitha, and amba panna

Day 2: Sangeet Night – Glitz, Glam & Family Vibes

Held in a beautifully decorated open lawn, the Sangeet night was full of glamour, heartfelt performances, and non-stop dancing.

Theme: Starry Night + Bollywood Fusion

Stage Decor: LED-lit stage, fairy lights, hanging bulbs, couple initials in marquee letters, and a custom entry arch

Performances:

Bride’s cousins performed on a Bollywood mashup

Groom’s family prepared a fun skit about the couple’s love story

A heartfelt father-daughter dance left everyone teary-eyed

DJ and dhol combo kept the dance floor alive till midnight

Mandap Design: Draped canopy with chandelier, mogra garlands, and floral seating

Bride’s Entry: Under a floral chaadar with live instrumental music and cold pyros lighting up her walk

Groom’s Entry: On a vintage open jeep, welcomed by family with music and cheers

Rituals:

Traditional pheras, varmala with flower showers, and emotional moments during kanyadaan

Live stations for tandoori starters, pakhala platters, and sweet counters with chhena poda, gulab jamun cheesecake, and paan kulfi

The Bidai was heartfelt and intimate. The bride’s exit was filled with tears, hugs, and blessings as she left her family home for a new chapter.

After-Party: A casual post-wedding gathering with close friends, midnight snacks, acoustic music, and open laughter
